Why World War III is possible

The fact that the cold war escaped developing into a Hot war is entirely due the Stalinist dictatorship which was based on the petty bourgeois class. This class is a conservative class when in power more interested in protecting their privileges then dangerous foreign predatorial adventures. This insecure class is also very concerned by other petty bourgeois seeking to steal their jobs. Unlike in bourgeois countries where a capitalist loses his job he still has his capital. The state bureaucrat loses everything, so he is much more cautious.

Both China and Russia today, are bourgeois dictatorship. They are just as predatorial as any other Capitalist class. They also depend on the competence of a single World policeman to enforce contracts and be the final arbiter in intra Mafia disputes which constitutes World trade. The US empire is weakening just like the English empire before it. This is contributing the chaos that is feeding the economic crisis we are in.

The falling rate of profit creates intense pressure when it comes to dividing up the loot among the gang thieves. The World policeman becomes more important as the rate of profit fall. Note that the rate of profit first falls relatively and then absolutely. The number of capitalist scoundrels also increase above the capacity of the working class to support their orgies. Economic statistics are also manipulated to hide their contradictions. The process of automation and thus over capitalization makes the rate of profit, inevitable. No amount of reformist tricks can do anything but postpone and make even worse the final crisis.

We should not look to science and technology to protect us. Genetic scientists are researching ways of introducing genes of bacteria and even animal such as tardigrades or "water bears" who are able to do away with space suits and can survive exposure to open-space vacuum, cold and radiation. We Humans are gluttons for punishment and might become unfortunate enough to survive World War III.
