Please review the WSWS article in the link below:

If the 1619 project is dangerous it is because of the opening left by the Left's confusing glorification of the American Revolution. It is not only because of racism that the American Revolution is lacking, but because of the intense repression of women of all classes and white men of the lower classes. Not to mention the second class status of recent immigrants or non Protestants.

Shays and the Whiskey rebellion established the fraud which was the American Revolution, both of which were directed at white men of the lower classes all to benefit the financial and land speculators who controlled the political movement against England from the beginning. Whose speculations and lust for Native Americans lives and land wholly motivated their so called revolutionary movement and ideals.

The US was born from a union of reactionary interests and has never escaped that union. Ask the Native Americans, Mexicans, just about every other people who have been so unfortunate to have any dealings with American Imperialism. America has been acting like an bloody Imperialists from the day it was born.

America deed not need a Themradorian counterrevolution to become the evil that it is. Neither did it need a Napoleon or Stalin. It had Washington the slave owning, land speculating, warmonger and a host of other degenerate hypocritical degenerates like Jefferson.

I know that I will have Marx thrown at me, but Marx was a man like the rest of us, he could be wrong. Much of what we know about the founding gangsters was not available to him in his era.

If you are worried about African Americans being divided from the working class, worry about the billions of other victims of US Imperialism being divided from the Marxist paradigm.

Worry about about our lack of credibility regarding progressive revolutions, when we mix progressive revolutions with movements such as the American rebellion against the English empire.

There is vast dialectical difference between the American rebellion and all other revolutions, including the English Revolution which preceded it by over a hundred years. It included an independent movement of the lower classes with the Diggers and Levelers, both of which had to be violently repressed by Cromwell. The American rebellion exhibited no sign that the American lower class had any signs of independent initiative except for Black slaves joining and fighting for the British.

Let me ask you a question:

Would you fight alongside a slave owner against Black serving the English? Would you kill him?

Marxists of all people should be aware of fetishes like the glorification of paper documents like the Constitutions, which worth no more than a roll of toilet paper.
